Social Garden
Internal marketing at marketing agencies is notoriously (and ironically) woefully overlooked.
I got the chance to work with and overhaul Social Garden’s tone of voice and website content over several years as an employee there, moving from a dedicated marketing manager role into a Senior Copywriter position.
For a performance marketing agency that evolved into a full-funnel creative studio and media buying agency over my time there, the tone needed to speak to the level of professionalism while maintaining the warmth, people-first nature and fun-loving culture of the business.
In practice, that looked like: snappy headlines, tongue-in-cheek garden puns, and short sentences wherever possible to drive home the no-nonsense expertise and irresistible personality.
More recently, I ran a naming workshop with the business founders and senior leaders to assess the various agencies under the company umbrella and their positioning. We landed on naming the holding group Third Door Ventures.
